Served is a kitchen intelligence platform that inverts the way people shop for groceries. Instead of starting at the store, it starts in your fridge. Chef, our AI helper, knows what you already have, helps you plan what to cook, and uses AI agents to automatically build your cart and place your order. The result: you make food decisions and Served handles everything else.
Designing for an agentic app means the user hands off control to AI at a critical moment and that transition has to feel earned, not jarring. The real design challenge wasn't the individual screens but gaining the user's trust. How do you guide someone from browsing a recipe to groceries at their door without losing their trust along the way? Balancing AI automation with user confidence, especially around substitutions, checkout, and real-time decisions, was the thread running through every design choice.
